AusDiagnostics Pty Ltd developed out of an AusIndustry START grant held by Corbett Research in a partnership with the research group of Prof Keith Stanley at the University of New South Wales. During the START grant a new PCR multiplexing technique was developed called Multiplexed Tandem-PCR (MT-PCR) and a liquid handling robot was developed to automate the process. AusDiagnostics was spun out of Corbett Research in 2006 as an independent company to develop IVDs for the cancer and microbiology markets.AusDiagnostics now has a suite of products to detect and quantify microbial pathogens based on their unique nucleic acid composition. The company works closely with research and diagnostic customers to provide cost-effective solutions to a variety of problems.
The mission of Ausdiagnostics is to bring the benefits of molecular science to the medical, food, water and environmental industries.
